Lamine Yamal becomes first player under 20 to win both Euro and World Cup

Spain's teenage star Lamine Yamal has made football history after becoming the first player under the age of 20 to win both the UEFA European Championship and the FIFA World Cup following Spain's 1-0 victory over Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

The 19-year-old Barcelona star achieved the remarkable feat after Spain defeated defending champions Argentina in extra time, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute to secure La Roja's second World Cup title in 16 years.
